Don Henne '61, former St. Charles teacher, coach and athletic director, passes away

It is with a heavy heart that St. Charles Preparatory School announces the passing of a special member of its family: Mr. Don Henne, remembered by most as “Coach.”
A graduate and All-State pitcher from the Class of 1961, Don earned bachelor's and master's degrees from The Ohio State University. After teaching and coaching at a high school for four years in the Chicago area, he applied for a similar position in1970 at his alma mater. He would serve at St. Charles more than three decades as a beloved teacher, coach, and athletic director (1976-1995). In 2002, he retired to "a life in the country" where he taught and served as the athletic director at Licking Heights High School.
